Wow, This blog is waaaaay overdue.

June 27th was my last post date? Really? Wow. And here we are at December 1st. I don't even know if anyone even reads this but whatever. I enjoy writing it. I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner, I've been super duper busy! Let's see, so where did I leave off? Oh, I think it was college and moving to Tampa. Well that's changed a little bit. I went to go visit the campus at the Art Institute of Tampa and well, as much as I liked it, it was NOT worth the price tag ($100K+ yikes!) So that plan is gone, out the window. My new plan?  I'm still trying to get everything together to move to Tampa. Me and one of my best friends, Paige, are pushing for January. I'm excited! But so nervous too.... I feel like it's being rushed a little bit. Me personally? I'd like to wait and move up over the summer. That way I've got TONS of time to find a new job or transfer with my current job, find an apartment, save up money for my own car (for those of you who don't know, I wrecked mine last year) and so on and so forth. But January? I doubt I'll have barely anything  saved up or ready by then. I don't want her to have to wait on me to move up, but I don't want to hold her back either. What should I do?

So my cousins wedding was in October, I was her maid of honor. It was the best wedding I've ever been to! We had a blast! She looked so beautiful (not that she doesn't everyday anyway) Can't wait for another family wedding! =D

Love life? ugh. Loooooong story. I've been talking to this guy since august, and I really really like him. But it's long distance, and it worries me sometimes. Maybe I'm just too guarded? I would really like to see where this goes, but, there's just so many complications with long distance. I don't know where to start.....
Kinda reminds me of that song; "Should I stay or should I go?" I can't think of the title at the moment but yeah. I have really strong feelings for him, don't get me wrong, it's just that I've had really bad experiences with relationships in the past, and I guess I'm just scared it's going to end up like that again before it even gets serious....

Let's see, I would talk about work but I'm afraid I might get in trouble lol. I'll save that post for a later date.
Well that's all for now. I promise to write again soon.

Much love,

Melissa Marie

College and updates

So my life has been pretty eventful lately. Let me fill you in;

1. Ive quit my school and I'm probably moving to tampa to go to the Art Institute before the end of the year.
2. My ex/ex best friend became a father. Well, the DNA tests are still pending.  Guess that's what happens when you marry a whore.
3. Two of my cousins have gotten engaged within the last 2-3 months. I'm the maid of honor for one cousins wedding in October. I'm very excited and happy! =)
4. I'm saving up money for alot of things. Tattoos, Car, Maid of Honor Dress, School and to move to Tampa. How much have a I saved? About $30, which will probably go to gas next week.
5. I've lost 24 lbs since March. Whoo!
6. I have come to discover, I have NO idea what I want to do with my life career wise. It's down to: Wedding Planner/Bridal Shop Owner, Interior Designer/Decorater, Party Planner ( i know that fits in with wedding planning but whatever) I'm considering doing them all.
7. I've been at my job for almost 10 months. A year and a half. This makes it the longest job I've ever had. Plus I got another job at Homegoods! :D

So yes, thats about it. But what I really wanted to write about is College and moving to Tampa.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening day review

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Opening Day

June 18th 2010

Universals Islands of Adventure, Orlando FL

My family and I have been big Harry Potter fans since the beginning. Before the movies, before the huge craze. When they announced they were opening a HP theme park, we decided we WOULD be going opening day. So that day has arrived. We woke up at 4:45 AM, got ready and got there at about 5:20. Got through the crazy parking and Me, my sister Tiffani and my brother Kyle, ran alllllll the way to the gate. They opened the Islands of Adventure gates at 6:30 so then we had to walk alllllll the way around (to the left for those of u who know the park well) and we waited in front of the Jurassic center for the opening.

- 3 1/2 hours later -

We entered Hogsmeade and were welcomed like we were at an award ceremony and we'd recieved the highest honor. The first thing we did was go straight for the Hogwarts castle to go on the Forbidden Journey ride. As were waiting in line, we look over at the Flight of the Hippogriff ride and theres people SCREAMING. Then we saw why. The Cast of Harry Potter (Dan/Harry Rupert/Ron Bonnie/Ginny Tom/Draco Matt/Neville & the Twin Weasly brothers) WERE ON IT! Omg we went NUTS and started screaming and taking lots of pics and waving. It was amazing.

So we wait about 20-25 mins for the Forbidden Journey ride and we walk thorough the hogwarts grounds and we see dumbledores office, the Hall of moving portraits, Griffindor Common room, Defense against the dark arts class (where ron makes it snow confetti, it was pretty cool)

so we walked on the ride and were lifted up in the air and spun around. We were flown over the castle grounds, chased by the dragon, went through the forbidden forest with aragog and the spiders. We were chased by dementors, played a game of quittitch and flown high over the castle. HANDS DOWN the best ridei n the park. The downside? It's slightly like the Back to the Future ride which ALWAYS made me sick, so I was really woozy after this ride and didnt feel good at all. Next me and my sister went on the Dragon Challenge (formerly dueling dragons) and rode that. Then got into a really looooong line for butterbeer. It was a good $10 a cup with the souvenir mug. You could either get it cold or frozen. Frozen was the best! It was worth every drop. It was sooooo yummy!
We didnt get much shopping done due to the high crowds or eating for that matter. The waiting list for the 3 broomsticks was an hour and 45 mins. Everything was VERY expensive. Wands were $30 or more, chocolate frogs were $10, pumpkin juice (which in my tastes wasnt very good at all) was $8, a Sneak-o-skope was around $25-$30, a pigmy puff was $25, A shirt was $30+ depending on the style. Books bags were $20, hats were $21-$25, Landyards were $10. I didnt see the prices on the capes, scarves or broomsticks (not even sure if they had those) The best place to get ur shopping done is filtchs emporium or the owl post.

There was one huge downside to the park. Youve probably all seen the preview of going in and having a wand "choose you"

but its not as it seems. A group of 25 will be taken into ollivanders and only ONE person will have the experience. Another thing is that u cant buy wands at Ollivanders, the only place u can buy them is at the owl post. Weird and kinda lame, I know. And I also noticed something else. The village is hogsmead, why are all the shops/stores in Diagon Alley in the books & movies, suddenly in Hogsmead????????

Overall, I thought it was AMAZING! I cant wait to go back tomorrow! A bit pricey, and extremely hot weather and long lines. But well worth getting up early and actually seeing the cast! A once in a lifetime event for sure!!!!! I LOVE the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! <3

In & out 1

So I saw that allthatglitters21 does an In & out thing on her blog so I thought I'd give it a try.

In:

Lip Butter: So I recieved this as a birthday gift and I just recently started using it. It's amazing! I already feel a difference in the condtion of my lips. Yay for no chapped lips! =) I use the essence of BEAUTY Lip butter in strawberry banana

Tanning: ah yes, tis the season. Thank god. I really hope I get a good tan this year. As long as I can get to the beach without too many snowbirds getting in my way, I'll be just fine =)

Ruffle Swimsuits: These are so freakin cute! I saw these at Target and had to get one.
Their just so cute and girly yet kinda sexy at the same time. Ruffles seem to be whats in right now. And this is a perfectly good reason why! I can't wait to wear mine to the beach! <3

Lush: Ahhhh! I Loooooooooove Lush! For those of you who dont know what Lush is, LUSH has fresh handmade natural cosmetics with handmade bath and body products including soaps, bath bombs, shampoos, bubble bars, hand and body lotions and hair products.
They make the BEST smelling stuff ever. I cant even describe it.
Here are a few of my favorites:

The Godmother:

The LUSH fairy godmother came and swooped her silver wand over our best-selling seasonal Snow Fairy shower gel, turning it into bar form and naming it after herself. In case you haven't smelled Snow Fairy, the scent is sweet like fruity pink candies. We'd just like to point out that it does not, however, taste like yummy candies; it tastes like soap.

The Comforter Bubble Bar:

This pink and white swirly bar resembles a rolled up scarf, ready to wrap you in warmth and comfort. The fruity blackcurrant fragrance comes from cassis absolute; we love this delicious scent so much we put it in. Inhale it and it feels like you're getting a big, yummy hug. This one is big enough to be broken in half for two baths

Loreal Go 360 Clean:
My new face scrub. you know, the one with the pop out scrublet? I've seen these on TV alot so I figured I'd try it out. When I went to the store, they were out of the green one, so I got the Orange one.
Whats the difference?
Green- The Deep Facial Cleanser
Orange- Exfoliating Scrub
Pink- Deep Cream Cleanser
Blue-Deep Facial Cleanser for sensitive skin

Benefits:
•Smaller pores: Go 360° Clean shrinks the appearance of pore size and refinishes the skin’s surface to reveal skin with more clarity.

•Deeper cleansing: Unique formulas reach down deeper to every last pore for a deep, deep clean. Keeps pores clean day after day.

•Softer skin: Sweeps away dead skin cells for an extraordinary softening and smoothing effect
•Easy-to-use: Scrublet™ cleanses pore-by-pore with a fuss-free cleansing process.

& let me tell you, I felt the difference right away! I love this stuff and I cant wait to go get more and try them all!

Out:

Myspace: I think I got a myspace when I was 15, roughly 5 years ago, and ever since I started Facebook and Twitter, I find myspace to be a bit slow and complicated. It's just old I guess. The only thing it has on FB and Twitter is that you can do the whole layout thing and add music. Which I dont think anyone has the time for anymore. ( I know I dont anyway)

Hm, Don't really know what else to write. I think the next entry will be about my very confusing love life. haha or lack there of.

Later <3

Late night & sleepless procrastination is not my friend.

So here I am, sitting on my living room couch at 1:40 am, finishing a problem/solution essay due in about 7 1/2 hours. Even though I've had weeks, maybe even a month to do this, of course I would choose the day (and now night) before. ah, procrastination really does take its toll. I would prefer to be sleeping but I doubt that will happen tonight. So I'm almost halfway through with my paper, when my fluffy monster of a cat; Bear, decides he wants to cuddle. He jumps up on the couch and lays right on my laptop. Thanks Bear. As of this moment he is cuddling on my chest while the laptop is almost at a 90 degree angle against my legs. Ya, he's cute alright but now I'm at the point where I dont care to remove him. Hm, maybe I'll sleep for a few hours, take a nice hot shower and finish it early in the morning? well, theres procrastination again. lol. the choice is very tempting.
My sister just came home from a night of work and probably steak and shake with her friends. I heard a story today about one of her friends in particular, i wont say his name but lets just call him Steve. My sister, Steve and a bunch of their friends were out partying last saturday night when one of steves friends dared him to drink urine. yeah, thats right. Drink some piss. to which another friend said "you wont" and well, guess what? He did.
Ugh god, how, why would anyone do that?! Jeez. Now this kid is only 16 years old, and when i first met him, that was hard to believe. but the more ive gotten to know him, the more it shows. He kinda annoys me to be honest. Everytime I see him I get the urge to punch him or slap him in the face. I dont know why, hes just one of those people lol. Of course, when I told my sister this while we were at the beach with them last week, she laughed and said I was a mean bitch. Yeah well, Life's a bitch so I guess i have to be one too. Anyway not 10 seconds after I told her, he gets wailed in the face with a volleyball. So naturally, i died laughing. Guess I'm not the only one who wanted to hit him lol.

It's funny how I can write this blog so easily yet not even get 3 full paragraphs on my essay.
Did I mention the subject? It's a problem/solution essay on Illegal Immigration. Easy right? ha, negative. I thought it would be too cause of all the bitching I hear about it. But its alot harder when you research it.

Should've stuck with the Bullying subject =/

Hm lets see, so what's new? Not too much, been getting alot of hours at work, I guess that's a good thing. Means more money, [Bear just stuck his head in cup I was drinking, and Bella is scratching the couch; lovely] So since the move, I've been unable to find my gameboy with my Pokemon Red game inside. With all the Soul Silver and Heart Gold craze going on right now, I felt I should play some pokemon myself. So I searched all the boxes under my bed that are still packed and everywhere else I could think of. Nothing. I honestly have no clue where it is. I might make that my goal this week, to find it! So instead of playing Pokemon, I decided to re-read Stephanie Meyer's Eclipse. The movie comes out in June so I thought I'd refresh my memory. I got about halfway before my eyes got heavy and I went to sleep. maybe I'll make it a goal to finish it this week too, and I've been wanting to re arrange my room so I might as well add it to the list alongside work and school. Although sleep is the only thing I would like to have on my to do list right now, it's probably the last thing I'll get to do.

Well I think this is a long enough blog for tonight. Onto finishing my Essay, yippie. Wish me luck.

Goodnight
Good Morning

Disney. What Happened?

So I've done alot of Disney movie/tv watching lately. (I'm currently watching Mulan & Hercules while writing this) and it makes me wonder, what the hell happened? I asked my brother what he thought of when I said "Disney" and he said "Disney World, Zack & Cody and Hannah Montana." Now, when I think of Disney, I think of Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. Maybe it's because we were raised in different generations, but as far as I can see, the work at Disney has come to a disappointing halt in my eyes. I can't remember the last time I saw a good Disney movie in theaters (I've yet to see the Princess and the Frog but I'm sure I wont be disappointed, so it's excluded) So it makes me wonder, what happened? Is Disney is all hyped up on Hannah Montana and the Jonas brothers that they forgot what Walt Disney set out to do? Mr. Disney once said "I have no use for people who throw their weight around as celebrities, or for those who fawn over you just because you are famous." and that's exactly what Disney has turned out these past few years. Making kids think that having double personalities will make you cool and famous, or being in a popular band with your siblings and still going to a public school will make people fawn over you. Maybe I'm putting too much thought into this, or maybe it's just the changing of the times, but as a life long Disney fan, I am extremely disappointed in Disney's projects for the past few years. What happened to the good shows? Where you got to use your imagination, instead of just wishing you could be someone else? I just don't understand the concept.
Forgive me for not being a fan of "Skinny jeans syndrome" but I probably won't be watching any Disney TV anytime soon. Let me know when Disney releases something worth watching.

"Disney is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money"- Walt Disney

My first blog.

So I tried the Youtube thing, where I would just do random videos about stuff. Well, that didn't work very well. So now I'm going to try blogging. (this way I won't have much editing to do when I have a brain fart =P )
This blog will just be about life and everything in it. What's going on in the world, random and odd things, what I'm up to, and interesting things I've discovered and things I'm doing (or at least attempting to do lol) No different from any other blog I guess.
I think the best way to start something is to introduce yourself, so this first blog will be about me and I guess it'll demostrate my views on stuff so I've selected a few surveys to fill out.
Okay, here we go.

Name:
Melissa, but my friends call me Mel.

Chocolate or Vanilla:
Vanilla
( I really don't think this question is going to let you know what I'm really like)
